SUPERCHEF Gordon Ramsay has upset viewers once more with his robust attitude towards meat.

I didn't see his programme this week but, apparently, he took his eight-year-old son rabbit hunting, using ferrets. One captured rabbit was killed, on screen, by a ferret owner.

Animal rights groups and viewers have expressed their horror over the 'barbaric' nature of the programme.

In fact, I'd argue that Gordon, with his procession of turkeys, pigs and sheep – followed from fattening to slaughter – is simply showing the reality of meat consumption.

I can see why vegetarians and animal rights activists would be upset, but those who eat meat must surely face up to how their food is produced.
