ACTIVISTS HAND OUT FREE VEGAN FOOD

Climate activists held a demonstration and stall giving away free tomato plants and vegan food.

Wheelbarrows of food were handed out to shoppers at the Victoria Centre clocktower on Tuesday in a bid to lure them away from buying

"unsustainable products" from a nearby chain store.

It was part of a national day of action across the country to coincide with the start of the The UN Conference on World Food Security: the challenges of climate change and bioenergy.
