Having lived in the forests of Tennessee for many years, Becky Dayhuff is more than qualified to comment on the "sport" of hunting. She has run into her share of idiotic hunters and rescued even more of their bedraggled dogs. She knows better than most that the majority of hunters are not good shots and even fewer pursue their injured prey to the end, as hunting supporters are wont to claim.
Ka-Boom!!! The sound echoed through the forest exciting all the hunters within earshot. Somebody killed something! The "sportsmen" raced to the checking station at noon to ask the morning’s kill count. They raced back to the checking station at dusk to check the day’s total kill while they compared weights and racks and tusks and beards. Then, it was off to the campfire to hear the tall tales and show off the latest weapon purchases.
