Some of those reasons make sense, not by themselves of course, except maybe the food choices, but the 10 seem to be aimed nmore or less at the cell-phone yakking middle-class yuppie crowd that has overrun America and the American marketplace, and to be sure probably represents the biggest market share.
Good work PeTa. |

The SUV one was clearly a lighthearted jab at yuppies. Trust me, Peta workers are very environmentally conscious.
They are not, however, health conscious - since I know some of them smoke. At least they used to ~7 years ago when they were still in the DC area and I hung out with them.
They are pro-Vegan *solely* for moral reasons. Not to put them down, in fact I applaud them for it. They simply use the material benefits as a selling point to the selfish and relatively amoral(*) sheeple.
(*) - Actually most people *believe* themselves to be moral. Their "morality" is what they are brainwashed into believing by the media and our "elected" leaders - i.e. the rich elite who actually rule this country.

Those are very powerful statements. i suspect them to be very true however, because it has been my experience to have been innocently exposed to completely inane and superflous pro-vegan arguments, mainly concerning the superiority of vegansim versus just being a lowly vegetarian, by in fact with supposed hard-core vegans.
In fact i sincerely doubt that either of these individuals were what they claimed to be, even though it is possible, because of the loud and abusive tone used to advance these "ideological" arguments, and the fact that these "scripted" ideological broadsides made little if any sense whatsoever, and probably were meant only to impress those who just happened to be listening.
Now on to the good stuff.

i definitely agree with the concept of the cluelessly independent yet amoral and selfish sheeple. In this day and age to be politically correct means to try to subdivide these immoral attitudes even further. To me this is positively insane.
i also agree about the part of the sheeple being brainwashed into a semi or full blown pc attitude, especially when it comes to lifestyle choices. Again this is nothing but sheer madness.
About the 10 reasons to go vegetarian webpage, i like the fact that there are separate links to go with each reason. Also there appears to be some kind of intrinsic order and organization. This without question is a good thing.
