Hmmm...last time I checked, survival wasn't a selfish need. Do you think that animals who eat meat, given the option, would choose to eat vegetables instead of other animals? That they would go "Holy crap! How horrible! I should eat plants instead of other living creatures!!" NO!! And if people weren't supposed to eat meat, then why do people around the world eat meat, have a desire to eat meat, and are equipped to eat, digest, and utilize meat as food? You don't seem to be a very religious person, so there must be a scientific reason then! Cavemen ate meat, yes; and this would lead mankind to evolve to accept meat in diets, but why did the yeat meat in the first place? Maybe because the ones gnawing on plants died from nutrient insufficiency? Say whatever the hell you want, but plants don't provide enough. I don't care about any such proof proving that wrong, because quite simply I don't care. I think you are a disturbed person who needs to get her priorities straight. I am a Christian (gasp! now you hate me for no reason!) and it pisses me off that you think that religion is there just so I can have an excuse to kill animals and eat them. The Christian Faith is based on love, and it's only morons who pervert it into hate instead. Organized religion is simply a way for people of one belief to meet one another and pool their spiritual resources. Now I'm not trying to insult your religious beliefs, whatever they may be, but it seems that YOU are doing exactly that to ME and anyone else of the Christian faith. Intolerance, anyone? ...I too could go on forever, but I won't because quite frankly I have better things to do with my time than argue with someone who probably won't even read half of this rebuttal before dismissing it completely like a child too afraid to face the fact that he/she is WRONG. You are entitled to your opinions...it just so happens that they are invalid in nearly all aspects.
